Step 1

Squeeze a quarter-sized amount of moisturizing body wash onto an extra soft washcloth when you are in the shower. Gently wash the area of your sunburn.

Step 2

Rub very lightly over the sunburn to clean it so as not to cause the skin to peel. The moisturizing body wash will also help to reduce the skin peeling from sunburn.

Step 3

Pat the area of the sunburn with an extra soft towel to reduce skin peeling. Rubbing the skin when drying it will cause it to peel from the sunburn.

Step 4

Apply moisturizer to the area where the sunburn is to reduce the skin peeling. Apply twice the amount of moisturizer that you normally would to this area to hydrate the skin to reduce peeling from the sunburn.

Step 5

Wear loose fitting clothes over the sunburn to reduce skin peeling. Tight clothes will rub against the sunburn. This friction will cause the skin to peel from the sunburn.
